John Roberts' Catholic Connections

John Roberts' Catholic Connections -- George Neumayr at Beliefnet.com visits Robert's parish, The Church of the Little Flower (Bethseda, MD), notes the traditional preaching of Robert's pastor, Monsignor Peter J. Vaghi, his schooling at La Lumiere, an all-male Catholic prep school; his wife's pro-life legal work for Feminists for Life and the John Carroll Society ("an association of Catholic laypersons united in their desire for an ever deepening and enriching knowledge of their faith and in service to the Cardinal of the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.") . . . and concludes that this guy's no Ted Kennedy: "By all outward measures, Supreme Court nominee John Roberts has faithfully followed the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church."

Looks like President Bush made a decent pick.
