They Can Change

Two Catholic congressmen, Rep Mark Foley (R-FL) and Rep John McHugh (R-NY) recently voted against an amendment to repeal the ban on abortions in military facilities. What's the big deal? Well, both of them had previously voted to repeal the ban. As a Catholic I am hopeful they changed their positions not for political purposes but because their faith guided them. Let us hope and pray that other Catholics in the House and Senate will have similiar conversions of heart.

To see how other Catholics in the House voted regarding this amendment, check out the updated report at Catholics in Congress.
