Responding to Bishop Lynch

Hundreds of Catholic bloggers have come out in defense of Terri Schiavo, and a number of them have expressed their concern over the disturbing silence or muted response from the Florida Bishops. This week, Bishop Robert N. Lynch of the Diocese of St. Petersburg released a rather disappointing two-paragraph "statement" on Terri Schiavo.

Patrick Sweeney (Extreme Catholic) provides a point-by-point reply, which may lead one to wonder whether the Bishop should have spoken at all.
